Style Guide: Midori Bikinis Island Honey Collection

Hello Saltee People!

As many of you may know this week I joined the Midori Tribe and I am officially an ambassodor for them.   I could not me more excited.  But that is not the reason for this post.  The reason for this blog post is to help all of you lovely ladies find the perfect bikini.  So I am going to go over all of the different styles from the Island Honey collection and let know how they fit and why I love each piece :).

(some helpful info: I am 5’5″ and 145lbs.  I am a 28 in jeans and I am a 32D)

Lets start from the top:

The Hana Top:

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetThe Hana top is a tie front over the should top.  I love it because it reminds me of all the vintage style top and I like that the tie in the front is actually real so you can adjust it how you want to. The shoulder straps are fixed so keep that in mind.  I love to wear this top when I’m lounging around the pool or going for a quick dip.  I probably wouldn’t wear it if I knew I was going to be super active just because I am bigger chested and that may not end well.  I wear a M in the Hana top.

The Mia Top:

The Mia top is cinched in the front and has a criss cross detailing in the back.  It ties in Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetthe back and the ends have little tassels on them which I think is such a cute detail!  I like this top because it is adjustable to your waist which is nice because if you really wanted more coverage you could size up and tighten it to your liking. This top reminds me of the Keira top from their 2016 collection which I also really loved.  This one is super comfy and supportive.  I wear a L in the Mia top.

The Joie Top:

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetThe Joie is not yet released but it is by far my favorite.  I love simplistic designs and that is exactly what it is.  It is a triangle top that hooks in the back and the straps are adjustable.  I love it for tanning, for swimming and all of the above.  I also love that on the one I have the hardware (hooks and adjusters) are gold. Definitely keep your eyes our for the Joie.  I wear a M in the Joie.

All of the tops come with removable padding.

Let’s get to the bottom of this:

The Brayden Bottom:

This is like the OG Midori bottom.  This used to be the bottom that offered the most Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetcoverage until they recently introduced the Parker bottom (which I have yet to try on).  This was the first cheeky bikini bottom I had every bought and I then fell in love.  It Is the perfect bottom if you want to show something but not too much .  The sides are thicker and there is more coverage on the back. It has a little scrunch detail on the back (which is super flattering). I wear a size S in the Brayden.

The Emmie Bottom:

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetThe Emmie bottom has been one of my favorites for a while now.  I love it because it has the cute braid detailing on the side which makes it a little more interesting!  Rachel added the Emmie bottom back in 2016 and I thought it was the cutest thing.  It’s basically like the Brayden bottom but party mode.  It has the same cute scrunch on the back.  I would wear this while going for a swim or being active.  Keep in my the detailed sides when tanning :).  I am a size S.

The Kai Bottom:

The Kai bottom is perfect for tanning! It has the least amount of coverage of all of the Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetbottoms and it has thin sides for the best tanlines you could ask for.  It also has the scrunch in the back.  I love this one because it is simple and easy.  I got it in the mermaid print and I wore it basically the whole time during my Oahu vacay last March. I am so happy Rachel brought them back this year.  I wear a S in the Kai bottoms.

All of the bottoms are seamless

Here are some photos of the bikinis on so you guys can see how they fit.  I still need to shoot the Mia top but once I do I will add a photo in 🙂

So that is my style guide for the Midori Bikinis Island Honey collection!  I hope you all enjoyed it and I hope to come out with a try on haul soon on my youtube channel!

Stay saltee,

Annalisa
